Hello! Totally Tomatoes? I've gotten their catalog but never ordered from them. What was the draw for you?

I'm very surprised you didn't mention Seed Savers Exchange, especially for heirloom tomatoes. If you get the chance, try growing some of their "Trophys"...I did for the first time last year and they were wonderful!

Love your newsletter!

What an amazing story. It is interesting how some people have more respect for nature and the joy of life and others don't. The story shows that in a very real way. Good writing.

I so much enjoy getting your posts. They always make me smile and/or stop and reflect. Please keep up the good work. I miss California terribly and your posts keep me slightly in touch. Here in sunny Florida, well...life's just not the same.

Thank you Andy and your whole crew for providing such luscious, delicious and nutritious food to our community year-round. Like you say, diversity may be a buzzword, but it's really just common sense. I like to think of it in terms of diversifying your portfolio in all aspects of life. Whether it's physical or mental, betting on just one horse can only go well for so long. Everybody understands that, so I'm often a bit baffled at why people would think that mono crops and industrial agriculture could sustain us indefinitely. Great to see you found some time to write in your busy schedule, your prose is as tasty as your vegetables.

Andy,
I can't decide if I love your farm because of the food or because you are a terrific writer. I always think of you as a writer who happens to be an excellent farmer.

Did your visitors mention "class warfare"? That seems to be a perennial favorite for Republicans.
